Power ON/OFF switching is executed.

Press to reset the microcomputer built in the system.
3MIC MIX. knob

At the time of mic mixing , this knob controls the volumes of the
microphones.

For connection of a microphone (optional).
5HIT MASTER key

Used in karaoke singing, etc.
6BEST HITS key

When power is ON: Records the first tracks of all of the CDs
stored in the unit.
When power is STANDBY: Switches the auto power-save mode on
and off.
7EX. BASS (Extra bass) key

When power is ON: Switches the extra bass play on and
off.
When power is STANDBY: Used in the timer setting operation.

When power is ON: Switches the SRS 3D play on and off.

SOURCE DIRECT key/Indicator (XD-550, XD-500)

When power is ON: Switches the displayed information.
Switches the demonstration on and
off.
When power is STANDBY: Switches the demonstration on and

Used for time setting, timer setting, etc.

When power is ON: This key switches the function of the
MULTI CONTROL/VOLUME knob.
The items which can be selected differ
according to the status at that time.
When power is STANDBY: This key is used in the OTT timer set-
ting.
#Equalizer operation keys

The equalizer effect is switched ON/OFF and the type of equalizer
effect is selected.
$MULTI CONTROL/VOLUME knob

Normally this is used for volume adjustment. Depending on the
purpose, the function can be switched with the MODE key.
%PHONES terminal

For connection of a headphone (optional).
^INPUT key

Press to select the input source. When TAPE or CD is selected,
playback starts automatically provided that a tape or disc has already
been loaded.
&Tuner operation keys

AUTO key
When power is ON: Switches the tuning mode.
When power is STANDBY: Used in the clock adjustment.
TUNING keys
Press to select a radio station.
BAND key
Press to switch the receiving band.
Cassette deck unit
*A deck cassette holder
Press the area marked PUSH OPEN to load or eject a tape.
(O.T.E. key
When this key is pressed during CD playback, only the title being
played at that time will be recorded on tape. When this key is pressed
during stop, the CD selected at that time will be recorded on tape
from the first title onward.
)DOLBY NR key

Dolby noise reduction ON/OFF switching is executed.
¡REV. MODE key

The reverse mode of the deck (both sides, repeated, one side) is
switched.
REC/ARM key
Press to start recording. Pressing the key during recording stops it
after leaving a non-recorded space (blank) of about 4 seconds.
£DUBBING key
ª
The contents of the tape of the A deck are copied to the tape of the
B deck.
¢B deck cassette holder
Press the area marked PUSH OPEN to load or eject a tape.

Fast forward and rewind (1 ¡) keys

Press to select the deck to be operated. Used as the beat cancel key
during recording of AM broadcasting.

Press to switch the CD time display information.

Three discs can be stored.

The disc tray is opened and closed.

The disc for playback (or recording) is selected. This is also used for
insertion of a CD to the inside of the disc tray.
