Switching to a Traffic Announcement
Temporarily
Another convenient RDS service is called “Enhanced Other
Network.”
This allows the system to switch temporarily to a traffic
announcement (TA) from a different station while listening to an FM
RDS station.
Before you start, remember...
• The Enhanced Other Network function is only applicable to preset
stations.
From the remote control ONLY:
Make sure that the remote control is for the tuner operation. If not,
press FM/AM on the remote control so that the remote control can
be used for the tuner operation.
Press TA.
• Each time you press the button, “TA ON” and “TA
OFF” alternately appear on the display.
When “TA ON” is selected, the Enhanced Other Network function
is activated.
How the Enhanced Other Network function actually works:
CASE 1
If there is no station broadcasting the traffic announcement
The system continues tuning in the current station.

When a station starts broadcasting the program, the system
automatically switches to the station, the TA indicator lights up
or starts flashing.

When the program is over, the TA indicator goes off and the
system goes back to the previously tuned station. The Enhanced
Other Network function still remains activated.
CASE 2
If there is a station broadcasting the traffic announcement
The TA indicator lights up or starts flashing. The system tunes in
the program.

When the program is over, the TA indicator goes off and the
system goes back to the previously tuned station. The Enhanced
Other Network function still remains activated.
Notes:
• Enhanced Other Network data sent from some stations may not be
compatible with this system.
• If the stations alternate intermittently between the station tuned by
this function and the currently tuned station, press TA to cancel this
function.
