EXTERNAL COMPONENT OPERATIONS
Playing an external component
You can connect the external component to the
CD changer jack on the rear using the Line Input
Adapter KS-U57 (not supplied).
Preparation:
For connecting the Line Input Adapter KS-U57 and
the external component, refer to the Installation/
Connection Manual (separate volume).
Before operating the external component,
select the external input correctly, follow the
procedure below.
• See also “Changing the general settings
(PSM)” on pages 24 and 25.
1 Press and hold SEL (select) for more than
2 seconds so that one of the PSM items
appears on the display.
2 Press number button 5 to select “AUDIO”—
Audio category of the PSM setting.
3 Press ¢ or 4 to select “Ext Input”*.
4 Turn the control dial clockwise to select
“Line In.”
5 Press SEL (select) to finish the setting.

* Displayed only when one of the following sources is
selected—FM, AM, and CD.

follow the procedure below.

• If “Line In”* does not appear on the display,
see page 27 and select the external input
(“Line In”) in the “Ext Input” setting.

Note on One-Touch Operation:
When you press CD/CD-CH, the power automatically
comes on. You do not have to press to turn
on the power.

Turn on the connected component
and start playing the source.

Adjust the volume.

Adjust the sound characteristics
you want. (See pages 20 – 22.)
Note:
You can also change the display pattern by pressing
D (DISP) repeatedly.
