What it means to be from Boston.
Many manufacturers design speaker systems around third-party, o -the-shelf parts.
Boston Acoustics engineers every component of every system to meet the highest
performance standards (our own). Of course, performance is only one measure of value.
So we’re careful to build all our products with strict attention to everything from the choice
of materials to the details of  t and  nish. It’s how we’ve been exceeding the expectations
of serious listeners for nearly thirty years.
Raw power, re ned.
There’s no denying that HPS subwoofers are powerful, but they can’t be confused with
blunt instruments. The front ba es are gently curving surfaces. The woofer assemblies
feature low-mass cones and the cabinets are extensively ribbed and braced with MDF to
r
educe unwanted resonances. And every model features a volume and crossover control
to adjust performance to the acoustics of your room, and a phase switch to keep output in
sync with your speakers. The result is deep, distortion-free bass that enhances (rather than
overpowers) speaker performance — even at the highest output levels.
