bpCUE/REVIEW FUNCTIONS ( / )
High-speed audible search to any section of the disc can be made
by the Cueand Review functions. Press and holdthe Cue button
( ) toadvance rapidly inthe forward directionor the Reviewbutton
( ) to advance rapidly in the backward direction. During either
function, the elapsed time within each track will automatically be
shown on the display panel.
bqPAUSE/PLAY SELECTOR ( )
During disc play, press this button to temporarily stop play of the
disc (the elapsed time indication on the display panel will flash).
Press the button again to resume play of the disc fromthe point at
which it was stopped. Pause mode will also be canceled by
activating any other disc function.
brREPEATPLAY SELECTOR (RPT)
During disc play,pressthis button to repeat theplayof the selected
track (“RPT” will appear on thedisplay panel). Play of the track will
continue to repeat until the button is pressedagain and the “RPT”
indication disappears from the display panel. Repeat Play mode
will also be canceled by activating Shuffle Play bsor Track Scan
btfunctions.
bs SHUFFLEPLAY SELECTOR (SHF)
During disc play, press this button to play the tracks on the disc
in a randomshuffled order (“SHF” will appear onthe display panel).
In Shuffle Playmode, the Forward Track Select ( ) willalso select
tracks in the random order instead of the normal progression.
Backward Track Select ( ) will only go back to the beginning
of the track in play. The Shuffle Play mode can be canceled by
bmLIQUIDCRYSTAL DISPLAY PANEL
The Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panel displays the frequency,
time, and activated functions.
NOTE: It is a characteristic of LCD panels that,if subjected to cold
temperatures for anextended period of time,they may take
longer to illuminate than under normal conditions. In
addition, the visibility of the numbers on the LCD may
slightly decrease. The LCD read-out will return tonormal
when the temperature increases to a normal range.
bnDISC SLOT
With the label surface facing up, fully insert the disc into the slot
until the mechanism engages (“LOAd” will appear on the display
panel) and disc play begins. The “DISC IN” indication and track
number will appear on the display panel.
NOTE: This unit is designed for play of standard 5" (12cm)
Compact Discs ONLY. Do not attempt to use 3" (8cm)
CD-Singles in this unit, either with or without an adaptor,
as damage to the player and/or disc can occur. Such
damage will not be covered by the Warranty on this
product.
boTRACK SELECT ( / )
These buttons are used to quickly select the beginning of a
particular track. With each momentary tap of the Forward Track
Select button ( ), the next higher track number will be selected
as shown onthedisplay panel. Similarly,with each momentary tap
of the Backward Track Select button ( ), the next lower track
number will be selected.
