
Adjusting your phone’s volume.
4: Sounds. This allows you to adjust the volume of the ringer
and key beep. In addition, you can select the type of sounds you
hear when the phone rings.
1: Ring Vol To adjust the ringer, press either or
, or the volume key. Settings are “OFF,”
“LOW,” “MED” and “HIGH.” The default is
“MED.” You can also adjust the ringer volume
simply by pressing the volume key while the
phone is in standby. If you select “OFF,”
the icon and “RINGER OFF” will be
displayed on the screen.
To temporarily silence the ring of an incoming
call, press the volume key or while
the phone is ringing.
2: Key Vol This adjusts the volume of the keep beep.
Settings are “OFF,” “LOW,” “MED” and
“HIGH.” The default is “MED.”
3: Ring Type Use this feature to change the sound of your
phone’s ring. As you press or
to scroll through the possible settings, your
phone will play the ringer options for you.
Your options include four musical selections.
The default setting is “RING 1.”
4: Msg Ring Lets you choose how you want to be notified
of short messages (when available). Settings
are “OFF,” “ONCE” and “EVERY 2 MIN.” The
default setting is “EVERY 2 MIN.”
Determining what is displayed.
5: Display. These options let you customize your phone’s
display screen.
1: Backlight With this function, you can choose how long
your phone’s screen and keys remain
illuminated. Possible settings are “FLIP OPEN,”
“30 SECONDS” (that is, 30 seconds after the
last key press), “8 SECONDS” or “OFF.” Select
short settings to conserve power. The “FLIP
OPEN” option will drain power quickly. The
default setting is “8 SECONDS.”
