18 Getting Started
Saving a Phone Number
Your phone can store up to six phone numbers in each entry for a
total of 300 Internal Phone Book numbers. Each entry’s name can
contain 20 characters. Your phone automatically sorts the Internal
Phone Book entries alphabetically.
To save a number from standby mode:
1. Enter a phone number.
2. Press for Save.
3. The Add New Entry screen is displayed. Press to enter
a new name or scroll through the phone book to select an
existing name. Press to add the additional number to
the selected entry.*
4. Use your navigation key to select a label (Home, Work,
Mobile, Pager, Fax, or No Label) and press .
5. Enter a name for the entry using the numeric keys. Press
to change the entry method between T9, Alpha, Symbol,
and Number.
6. When finished entering the name, press to return to the
phone book entry.
7. Press to save the entry.
* - This step is not necessary on the very first entry saved into the
phone. Skip to the next step if you are entering the first entry in the
phone book.
Note: This handset provides three types of Alpha entry:
Abc : sentence mode, ABC : all upper case, abc : all lower case when in
alpha mode, you can toggle between the three modes using the *shift
key
