8.2 Placing batteries
• Use 2 x 1.5 V batteries, type R03, UM4 or AA.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
•Never mix different types of battery (standard, alkaline, etc.).
This may reduce the life of the batteries.
1 Remove battery cover.
Lift tag on back of remote control upwards.
2 Position batteries
Place batteries as shown inside battery compartment.
3 Close battery cover.
8.3 Using the remote control
• Be sure to place fresh batteries in the remote control before use.
•Always point the remote control directly at the infrared receiver eye on the front of the
player; making sure there are no obstructions in the path of the infrared beam.
• The distance between the remote control and the infrared receiver eye should be no
more than 7 metres directly in front of the player and no more than 5 metres at an
angle of 30 degrees to either side.
