Face Recognition AF&AE
In b (Auto Picture mode), R (Program mode), I (Portrait mode),
and Q (Kids mode), “Face Recognition AF&AE” is activated.
This function recognizes the subject’s face, focuses, and performs
exposure compensation when capturing images. The subject is
given brighter and healthier look.
•

I

Q
mode, the camera will focus on the subject using the
AF mode selected in [AF Mode] on the [
A
Rec. Mode] menu.
• When the camera does not recognize the subject’s face in b
mode or R mode, the camera will focus on the subject using
the standard AF Mode (Multiple).
• The Face Recognition may not work if the subject is wearing
sunglasses, has part of the face covered, or is not looking
toward the camera.
