BASS: Controls the low frequency
EQ in the over all signal.
VOLUME: Controls the overall
listening volume of the amplifier.
MAIN: A line level output, for
connection to another amplifier or
desk, etc. This takes the signal from
after the ‘Master’ volume control,
unlike the ‘Rec Out’, which is
unaffected by the overall listening
level of the amp.
MIDDLE: Global Mid Range EQ. This adjusts the
mid range frequency response across the entire mix.
TREBLE: Global Treble EQ. This adjusts the high end frequency response across the entire mix.
TAPE: Sets the overall level of the signal connected to the tape input on the rear of the HCP804.
FOOTSWITCH: Jack socket for connecting an optional Laney FS1 footswitch, for switching reverb
on/off.
AUX IN: Jack socket line in, designed to work in conjunction with the ‘Reverb Out’ socket, as the
return of an effects loop or some such device.
REVERB: Controls the overall reverb output level across the entire mix.
REVERB OUT: Jack socket providing a line level signal for each individual channel. The level of
the signal present from each channel is determined by the channels individual REVERB setting
level. The REVERB OUT can be used to generate a line level output that can be used in
conjunction with the AUX IN socket as an effects loop.
