• Review the Language Support setting and modify if necessary.
Time Zone Selection
• Review and modify as necessary.
Account Configuration
• Input a root password.
Authentication Configuration
• Review and modify as necessary
Selecting Packages
• If you selected the “Custom” install option, predetermined packages have already
been selected. However, depending upon your network environment, additional
packages may be necessary. Review and modify as necessary.
NOTE: Remember to select appropriate package groups that matches your network settings
(example: the “DNS Name Server” package may be required If you have set up your new
server to be the DNS controller).
Phase 3 — Complete the Installation
• Upon completion of the customization, the installation program asks for
confirmation before proceeding with the install. Click Next to proceed.
Boot Diskette Creation
NOTE: HP recommends that you create a boot diskette that will allow you to boot and
manage your server should you experience problems in loading your Red Hat environment.
