STEP 4: Activate your Set Top Box.
Your new STB(s) will not operate until you have called and
completed the activation steps.
• Have the six-digit activation code that you wrote down
in Step 1 on hand.
• Choose one of the following activation methods.
Website: go to http://www.verizon.com/ ostv/sel nstall/
enter your activation code and Zip Code and click on
“Begin Activation.”
Phone: Call the Verizon Set Top Box activation line at
1-888-897-7499 and follow the instructions to activate
your new STB(s).
STEP 5: The activation process can take
up to 30 minutes.
• After 30 minutes, turn on the STB.
• Then turn on your TV, select the proper input and
set to channel 3.
STEP 6: Program your Remote Control
Your FiOS® TV Remote is a universal remote — it can also
control your TV, VCR or home entertainment system.
a. To set up your remote control, please follow the instructions
in the User Guide included with the remote control.
b. You can also view a help video with step-by-step
instructions. Videos can be found on the On Demand
menu, under Help.
Need help?
Help videos are available for free from the On Demand menu.
Access On Demand from your remote or Main Menu of your
Interactive Programming Guide. Select the “Help” section of
the menu to see detailed information and instructional videos.
