Afterconnectingthepowersupplyandturningiton,thepowersupplycurrentmustbe~50mA.The
amplifierresetLEDmustbeon.
ThePVDDand3.3-VLEDsmustbeon.Ifnot,checktheconnectionstothepowersupply.
ConnecttheSPDIFcable,eitheropticalorcoaxial,toanSPDIFsource.
ConnecttheUSBcableandtheUSBLED(blueLEDmustbeon).
TheEVMmustenumeratewithouttheinstallationofaUSBdriver;itisaWindows™audioclass
device.
StarttheGUI.(ItmustnotgiveanindicationofCOMMUNICATIONERROR).

Iftheprecedingconditionsaremet,theEVMsystemisreadytoacceptaudiodata.
Note:ThedefaultgainsettingoftheTAS5086GUIis0dB.Ifyouareconnectingdirectlyfroma
musicsource(CDplayer)forinputandspeakersforoutput,youmaywanttousethevolume
controlfunctionofGUItoreducethegainbeforetheprogrammaterialisstarted.
ThissectiondescribestheTAS5102/3EVMboardinregardstopowersuppliesandsysteminterfaces.
TheTAS5102/3EVMmodulemustbepoweredfromawell-regulatedexternalpowersupply.Goodaudio
performancerequiresastabilizedpowersupplywithlowripplevoltageandlowoutputimpedance.
Note:Thelengthofpowersupplycablemustbeminimized.IncreasingthelengthofthePSUcable
isequaltoincreasingthedistortionfortheamplifierathighoutputlevelsandlow
frequencies.
Maximumoutputstagesupplyvoltagedependsofthespeakerloadresistance.Fortherecommended
maximumsupplyvoltage,seetheTAS5102/3datasheet(SLLS801).
