Radio Shack 12-888 Radio User Manual

You can use headphones (not supplied) to listen to
your radio privately. Insert the headphone’s plug into
the jack on the side of your radio.
Listening Safely
Follow these guidelines when you use headphones.
• Set volume to its lowest level before listening. After
you begin listening, adjust volume to a comfortable
listening level.
• Do not listen at extremely high volume levels.
Extended high-volume listening can lead to
permanent hearing loss.
• Once you set the volume, do not increase it. Over
time, your ears adapt to the volume, so a volume
level that does not cause discomfort might still
damage your hearing.
