Innovative Video Technologies
The Blu-ray Disc players were developed by Pioneer engineers who
absolutely love movies. Since introducing the innovative LaserDisc, then
throughout the DVD to Blu-ray Disc era, Pioneer remains committed to
offering the best stay-at-home movie experience. Our passionate devotion
to movies realised the world's first 1080/24p real film quality output.
Pioneer Blu-ray Disc players can even upscale the resolution of your
standard DVD collection, so that all your movies look better than ever.
The Blu-ray Disc players are capable of 1080/24p output. By connecting
with a compatible display, you can enjoy images in 24 frames per second
(fps) — the real-cinema quality intended by the creators.
Deep Colour
The Pioneer Blu-ray Disc players support high-bit Deep Colour, offering
images with superbly detailed, natural colour expression. The BDP-320
features the highest
specification of 48-bit
(except 1080p/50 and
1080p/60 output)
colour depth, while
the BDP-120 features
36-bit colour depth,
providing natural and
smooth colour
gradations.
Motion Adaptive IP Conversion (BDP-320)
The BDP-320 can convert 1080/60i high-definition sources for 1080/60p
display. The Motion Adaptive IP Conversion feature can process in
accordance with the moving image, delivering high-quality pictures with
reduced picture noise.
Triple High-Definition Noise Reductions (BDP-320)
The BDP-320 features 3 separate noise reduction circuits for enhanced
video performance.
- Component Frame Noise Reduction (YNR/CNR): Reduces Gaussian noise
without blurring the picture
- Block Noise Reduction: Reduces block noise in moving images
- Mosquito Noise Reduction: Reduces random noise along the outline of
the images
The Pioneer-exclusive advanced PureCinema Deinterlacer also helps to
remove annoying lines during playback.
Video Adjust Mode (BDP-320)
TV and displays such as plasma TVs, LCD TVs, and projectors each have
different picture quality characteristics. The Video Adjust Mode comes in 5
modes — in addition to Pioneer PDP which
is optimised for Pioneer's KURO plasma
TV, there are PDP, LCD, Projector, and
Professional, adjusted by our engineers to
best match the TV or display. You can now
view your media in the ideal picture
quality for your device.
x.v.Colour
The units support “x.v.Colour”, an advanced
feature which greatly broadens the colour space
input to include 1.8 times as many natural colours than the standard RGB
signals when connected to a compatible display.

** “x.v.Colour” only available for playback of discs recorded with AVCHD devices.
High-Performance Audio Technologies with HDMI
Precision Quartz Lock System (PQLS) with HDMI (BDP-320)
The BDP-320 features a 2-channel jitter-free CD audio transmission feature
via HDMI (PQLS 2ch Audio). When connected to a compatible Pioneer A/V
receiver, the Precision Quartz Lock System (PQLS) on the BDP-320 transmit
CD music data
from the Blu-ray
Disc player to
the A/V receiver
with minimum
jitters, providing
an optimal audio
experience.
New Generation Audio Formats
The units are compatible with bit-stream output/decoding of Dolby TrueHD and
DTS-HD Master Audio. The decoding feature allows you to enjoy high-quality
surround sound even when connected to A/V receivers without HD decoders.

Enhanced Convenience
BD-LIVE™
With BD-LIVE™ compatible discs, you can download special contents via
the internet such as bonus features or languages not supported on the
original disc. With the BDP-320, the downloaded data can be stored
internally, as well as externally for large quantities on an HDD or USB
memory stick via the USB port. The BDP-120 can store data externally on a
USB memory stick.
* BD-LIVE™ only available on compatible discs and playable features depend on the
disc contents. “BD-LIVE” is trademark of Blu-ray Disc Association.
Slim Design (BDP-120)
The 58 mm-high slim design allows you to easily place the unit in a small
space on your TV stand or A/V rack.
Quick Start (BDP-120)
No need to wait — the unit starts up in 0.8 seconds from stand-by, ready
for instant viewing.
HDMI Audio Off Mode (BDP-320)
Lets you turn off the TV sound when used with an A/V receiver.
