TROUBLESHOOTING
Symptom Possible Cause Remedy
Outlets not receiving power. • Surge Module input wires (line, neutral,
ground) not connected to household
line, neutral, and ground wiring.
• Attach the output wires
(line, neutral, ground) to the outlets.
• Attach the household input wires (line,
neutral, ground) to the Surge Module.
Ground OK LED not on. • The Surge Module is not properly
grounded.
• Display Off switch in the OFF position.
• Check the ground wiring to the surge
module making sure the ground wire
is securely fastened to the Surge
Module’s ground wire.
• Push off switch.
Surge Module LEDs not on. • Display Off switch in the OFF position. • Surge Module input wires (line, neutral,
ground) not connected to household line,
neutral, and ground wiring.
• Push off switch.
Surge Module emitting
a loud buzzing alarm.
• The Surge Module has been hit
with a voltage surge/spike.
• The Surge Module must be replaced.

• The alarm can be shut off by pressing
the Alarm Off switch, but the Surge
Module may not offer any surge/spike
or over-voltage protection to the outlets.
