TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
SYMPTOM
Unit will not
turn on.
CD will not
play.
Erratic
playback.
Playback
does not

No sound, or
poor sound.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Batteries inserted
incorrectly.
Batteries dead or weak.
Power connection loose,
or not connected.
Power not on.
CD compartment not
closed.
Disc inserted incorrectly.
Dirty or defective CD.
Condensation is on the
lens.
Dirty or defective CD.
Error in the MP
3
recording of the CD.
Unit locks up.
The Resume or Program
function was activated.
Headphone or Line Out
plugs not inserted properly.
The volume is set too low.
Plugs are dirty.
POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Insert batteries correctly.
Replace batteries.
Properly connect AC
adapter securely.
Press the PLAY/PAUSE
button to turn the power
on.
Close CD compartment
door.
Insert disc correctly.
Try another CD.
Wait until the lens has
cleared.
Try another CD.
This is an error with the
CD/burner, not the unit. Try
another CD.
Press and hold the
DISPLAY/CLEAR button for
2 seconds to reset.
Clear the program, and do
not start with the resume
function.
Check connections.
Raise the volume.
Clean plugs and reinsert.
