as the ‘AV Receiver for the Audiophile’, the SR-8001’s improved sound quality, especially apparent in music, is thanks to hand-picked components utilised in its manufacture.
125 W of continuous THX-certified power in each of its seven Current Feedback amplifiers is generated by a huge Toroidal Power Supply, known for its stability even when
reproducing the most demanding dynamics. To preserve the purity of the signal, an anti-interference copper-plated chassis is incorporated, resulting in greatly improved
aural characteristics.
In its capacity as the heart of a surround sound system, the THX Select2 SR-8001 delights with an array of the latest generation of digital surround decoding technology.
Sound is optimised for the room with built-in Room Calibration, by Audyssey. Finally, HDMI digital video switching capability with I/P conversion ensures that the highest
video quality is activated when required

Performance addicted? The Marantz SR-7001 has full THX Select2 certification and 110 Watts of continuous power per channel (yes, 110 Watts from each of its seven
current-feedback amplifiers!).
Let’s look at video capabilities first. You can connect up to four HDMI equipped sources to the SR-7001. Direct the one you want to your display and to the SR-7001’s built-in
surround sound processor. Unlike earlier HDMI connections, these handle Multi-Channel sound with ease. Still enjoying non-HDMI sources? Rest easy. The SR-7001 comes
complete with format conversion lets you watch older videos through the super-convenient HDMI format. And there’s a Second Zone audio/video output, too, so you can
enjoy your entertainment throughout your entire home.
You’ll also find Dolby Virtual Speaker so you can enjoy an immersive surround experience with the dialog clarity inherent in a discrete centre channel configuration with
just two speakers!
And, speaking of clarity, the SR-7001 features Audyssey’s remarkable Auto Calibration that examines your entire room to correct for the acoustical problems that are
unfortunately present in most rooms. Of course, there’s an infrared input and two DC trigger outputs so you can coordinate your entire system for convenient remote
operation.
You won’t have any problem fitting all this capability into your home either. We’ve housed the SR-7001 in a new, compact chassis that will fit more easily into even the
tightest spaces
