Using the Jabra BT800 with the Jabra A210 Bluetooth adapter
5
In order to allow the Jabra BT800 to be used with non Bluetooth phones, we have
produced the Jabra A210 adaptor that enables a cordless connection between the
headset and a non Bluetooth mobile phone.
If you use your headset together with a Jabra A210 Bluetooth adaptor, you will be limited
to using the headset’s basic features. These features are answer/end call, using the voice-
dial function (if supported by the phone) and the mute. Caller ID, call list and putting call
on hold are not supported through the headset jack in the mobile phone.
To Pair the Jabra BT800 with the Jabra A210
The pairing process is a little different:
First set your Jabra BT800 in pairing mode and then the Jabra A210 adaptor
Place them close together. You do not have to enter a dedicated pin code for
pairing the two Jabra products, as you do with a mobile phone
Consult the Jabra A210 user manual for further information.
Making/answering a call when using the Jabra A210
When you make a call from your mobile phone, the call will be automatically
transferred to the headset (if it is on)
You can answer a call on your headset or your mobile phone. If your headset is in
standby mode, the call will be transferred immediately to the headset with a tap
on the headset’s answer/end button
Choosing wearing preference
6
The Jabra BT800 is ready to wear
on the right ear. If you prefer the
left, gently rotate the earhook
180°. See Fig 8.
For optimal performance, wear
the Jabra BT800 and your mobile
phone on the same side of your
body or within line of sight.
In general, you will get better
performance when there are
no obstructions between the
headset and the mobile phone.
Troubleshooting and frequently asked questions
8
I do not have the full menu in my headset;
Some phones will not support all features available in your Jabra BT800. Check your
phone’s user manual to ensure your phone supports the available features.
If you can hear crackling noises;
For the best audio quality, always wear your headset on the same side of the body
as your mobile phone.
If you cannot hear anything in your headset;
1. Increase the volume on the headset.
2. Ensure that the headset is paired with the phone.
3. Make sure that the phone is connecting to the headset – if it does not connect
either from the phone’s Bluetooth menu or by tapping the answer button, carry
out the pairing procedure.
Will the Jabra BT800 work with other Bluetooth equipment?
The Jabra BT800 is designed to work with Bluetooth mobile phones. It can also
work with other Bluetooth devices that are compliant with version 1.1 or 1.2 and
support headset and/or hands-free profile.
Will my Jabra BT800 interfere with my car’s electronics, radio, or computer?
The Jabra BT800 produces significantly less power than a typical mobile phone.
