Eton FRX5 S Radio User Manual

EMPOWERED BY INFORMATION
to deliver more than just an analog audio signal, but also to
transmit digital data, like the station’s call letters, style of
music, song title, artist and more. Nice.
Wake up
With local and world time settings, radio and buzzer alarm
clock settings, sleep timer and snooze light, the Etón Field
keeps you in time…in any time zone. It even displays the
temperature to help you prepare for the day. And if you want
to prevent the radio or alarm from turning on all together, just
hit Lock.
Up to speed
When it comes to tuning in to your favorite frequency, you
can take it fast…or slow. The dial-in-dial tuning knob lets
you select your speed—fast, slow or stop to keep it in a
locked position.
Field ready
The Etón Field radio includes a built-in hand strap for
carrying your radio with ease.
Get powered up
Use 4 D batteries (not included) or plug in the supplied AC
adapter into the DC jack for full power. The battery strength
indicator on the display will let you know when it’s time for
a change.
Listen up
With high sensitivity, strong anti-interference, low
background noise, and even lower distortion, listening
on the Etón Field is a real pleasure. Plus, its wide/
narrow bandwidth selection improves audio delity and
minimizes noise. Listen out loud or plug in your favorite
headphones.
FYI, it’s got RDS
The Etón Field radio features RDS for FM. RDS stands
for Radio Data System and it enables FM broadcasters
