BATTERY INFORMATION
CHARGE BEFORE USING
Connect battery charger to CHGR connector on side
of radio. Connect charger to a 120 VAC outlet.
Charge the battery for the first time at least 14 hours
3. Press
PTT
to transmit.
Note:
Keep
the radio 1-
2 inches
from your
mouth.
Speak in a
normal tone
towards the
microphone
located in
the lower
left corner
of the
speaker grill.
4. When
you are
through
speaking,
release
PTT
and
listen for
an an-
swer.
5. Turn the
VOL/OFF
knob
counter-
clockwise to
turn the ra-
dio off.
In CTCSS operation the
MON
button is also
used to ensure your channel is available before
beginning a transmission.
