The horn-loaded subwoofer shall utilize bent horn technology
to provide a bass horn length of over 10 feet in a 30-in wide,
40-in deep, 30-in high enclosure. The system shall incorpo-
rate two 12-in cone transducers.
System frequency response shall vary no more than +
3 dB from
29 Hz to 100 Hz. The subwoofer shall produce a sound pres-
sure level (SPL) of 107 dB on axis at 1 meter with a power
input of 1 watt, and shall be capable of producing a peak out-
put of 145 dB SPL on axis at 1 meter. The subwoofer shall
handle 1600 watts of amplifier power (continuous) when used
with a 24dB/octave Butterworth high pass filter, and 1000
watts of amplifier power (continuous) without a high pass fil-
ter. It shall have a nominal impedance of 4 ohms.
The subwoofer enclosure shall be constructed of exterior grade
Baltic birch plywood and shall employ extensive internal brac-
ing. It shall be finished in a wear resistant textured black
paint. The enclosure shall have heavy-duty handles and inte-
gral skids with companion recesses so that enclosures inter-
lock for stability when stacked. A caster pallet shall be avail-
able as an optional accessory. Input connectors shall be two
Neutrik NL4 Speakon. The front of the subwoofer shall be cov-
ered with a powder coated perforated steel grille.
The horn-loaded subwoofer shall be the EAW model BH760.
