ARCHITECT AND ENGINEER SPECIFICATIONS
Loudspeaker package shall be Atlas Sound Model ____ (B51-4,
EZB51-4, BT51-4, B161-4, EZB161-4, BT710-4, BT720-4, BT720-4-
T47) or approved equal.
Factory assemblies shall be comprised of an Atlas Sound Model
FC104, 4” high compliance loudspeaker or FA134, 4” coaxial
loudspeaker, 70.7/25V or 70.7V transformer and baffle.
Models including high compliance Model FC104 Loudspeaker shall
have wide angle sound distribution with 135° dispersion (-6dB, 2 kHz
octave band). The cone shall be a damped, high compliance type with
smooth extended response over a range of 150 Hz to 17 kHz and a
power rating of not less than 10 watts program. The magnet shall be a
10 ounce (283g) ceramic type. The 1” (25mm) voice coil shall operate
in a magnetic field of at least 10,500 gauss. Voice coil impedance
shall be 8 ohms. Sensitivity shall be 94dB [measured 1W/1M]. Free air
resonance shall be 101 Hz.
Model including high Model FA134 Coaxial Loudspeaker shall have
wide angle sound distribution with 130° dispersion (-6dB, 2 kHz octave
band). The cone shall be a damped, polypropylene type with smooth
extended response over a range of 110 Hz to 20 kHz and a power
rating of not less than 15 watts program. The magnet shall be a 10
ounce (283g) ceramic type. The 1” (25mm) woofer voice coil shall
operate in a magnetic field of at least 11,300 gauss. High frequency
device shall be a 1” (25mm) PEI tweeter. Crossover frequency shall
be 8000Hz. Nominal impedance shall be 8 ohms. Sensitivity shall be
88dB [measured 1W/1M]. Free air resonance shall be 80 Hz.
Loudspeaker shall include a pre-mounted ____ (70.7/25V or 70.7V)
transformer with power taps of ____ (.25, .5, 1, 2, 4 – LT72, .5, 1, 2,
4 – HT47). Transformer frequency response shall be ____ (+/- 1.5dB
@ 100 Hz to 10KHz – LT72 or +/-1dB @ 60 Hz to 12 KHz-HT47).
Insertion loss shall not exceed ____ (+1.5dB-LT72 or +1dB-HT47).
Assemblies without support rails shall mount to enclosure Model ____
or mounting ring Model ____ or tile bridge Model ____ or approved
equal.
Enclosures shall be Model __________ (96-4, 96-4X, 198-4) and shall
be listed by Underwriters Laboratories (UL 1480 General Signaling
and accepted under UL 2043 for use in air handling “plenum” spaces).
Assemblies with support rails shall include pre-mounted brackets and
shall transfer the loudspeaker package weight to the ceiling system
support rails.
