Hi! My brand new DigiCorder HD S2X unexpectedly refuses to start using the remote control's On/Standby button. It has been OK for a short while, but now I can only manually start the receiver by pressing the On/Standby button on receiver itself and holding this in for a few seconds and wait for the "WELCOME" sign to come up. When the DigiCorder HD S2X is started in this way the remote control works normally on all functions including switching off to standby. Once in standby however, the remote won't turn the receiver on again. There is also a serious problem with programming the receiver for automatic recording of future programs to the hard drive. After programming for recording and then turned off in standby, the receiver should normally start when the pre-programmed recordings are scheduled, and then turn itself off again when the recording/s comes to an end. The receiver does not start at all from standby using this function. So when not at home the receiver must be left on constantly, in order that recordings can be performed. Something beyond my understanding is wrong, and there is a malfunction somewhere in this new DigiCorder HD S2X. I am very thankful for your help in this matter. Reading the troubleshooting guide in the operating manual, then maybe performing a "Flash reset" might solve the problem? I am very reluctant to do this however, because all personal settings will be lost in the process. Apart from the aforementioned problems I am very pleased with the performance of my new DigiCorder HD S2X regarding picture quality etc., but am NOT happy that there are problems as explained with such a new receiver!!!
