Question About Technics Stereo System SA-DX940
Cooling Fan Stoppage...

The AV system still works, except the cooling fan has stopped working. I've open the system and 1) unplug and plug fan connector to retry connections, NO result 2) taken apart the fan to check for visible breaks, NO results. Any advice on testing whether circuit board is the problem or a way to test whether the fan needs to be replaced? Sound can be heard from the connected speakers, but cooling fan does not move.

0 I am having the same problem with my cooling fan also. I have planned on purchasing a new fan from Radio Shack if I couldn.t fix the fan wiring...IF anybody has fpind a fix for this defect,please post Thanks!!

0 I am having a similar issue where the fan has stopped working. I removed the fan and tested it. The fan works fine. I then checked all the wiring and fuses - Fine, I tested the female port where the fan plugs into and there is no power going to that connection. I will perform additional test to fix this issue and will post a reply if fix is found.
