0 The SH-9017 equalizer was part of a Technics system (the SD-A840) from the mid 1980's. The schematics on page 3 show how to hook it up to the other components in the system. This may help. (Also, ensure you have your input selector on the far right of the equalizer set to "source" and not "tape" when connected) I found this manual. SDA840.pdf
