Question About Technics CD Player sl-mc410

Is there a way of modifying this 110 cd autochanger so that you can: a) add a lithium battery back-up so that the 110 discs identity data is not lost if power is removed? b) add an RS-232 lead so that you can program it via a pc? Thanks
