computer side works fine but no sound even with new cartridge

0 I have now downloaded the manual for thisturntable and it has been extremely useful, however when the system is set-up I am receiving no sound through the amplifier. I can hear it playing inside the turntable bbut the signal is not being relayed to the amp. Anyone help please?
