Question About Sony Stereo Receiver STR-SE501
Protect...

Powers up and starts to work but then flashes protect. Will not allow me to push any of the buttons. What's going on. Speakers are fine, I tested them on another receiver.

4 There is a short within the stereo somewhere. Whenever there is a short, all nicer receivers go into protect mode to save the other components. Any reputable stereo shop can fix it, but looking upwards of $150 for diagnosis and repair.
