I have a Sony DAV-X1 2.1 home theatre system. I have used a optical audio cable connected between the optical audio out box on the blue ray player and the digital in jack on the system. The digital in switch on the system is set to optical. There is no sound from the subwoofer, only the two speakers. One other point when Itry to change the setting on the woofer the display on the Sony system states it is not in use.
