Question About Sony CD Player CDP-CX250
i'm tryng to hook up speakers to the cdp-cx250 cd ...

i'm tryng to hook up speakers to the cdp-cx250 cd player.if hooked directly from left and right outputs the volume is very faint,so i hooked up a pre amp between the output and the speakers and the volume is good,but the sound is distorted.do i need to hook it up to a receiver input and speaker out put and forget the pre amp?.
