Question About Sharp Stereo System None
Words & icons flash & scroll in display area ehtire time unit is "off"...

When unit is turned off "hello" shows up flashing in the display area, then all words & icons (ipod dock, 5-cd changer, classic, pops, vocal, jazz, etc.,) flash & scroll up & down the sides & across the top in display area & don't stop until it's turned back on. This just started a day ago after never having problems since initial purchase years ago.

5 This is Demo mode. Demo mode can bu turned on while system is in stand by mode. To turn off this annoying demo mode just hold Shift button (Cascaded in blue) and press the demo button just above shift button. That's it.

0 There is no "shift" button or anything "cascaded in blue". Are you talking about the same model? It doesn't sound like it. (Sorry, the picture downloaded sideways; also doesn't inc. speakers in the pic)

0 The answer is .. . . . .push the XBass/Demo button on the remote while the machine is in stand-by mode. The button is the second one from the left on the very bottom row of buttons on the remote. I just did it and it worked. That was driving me nuts!!!
