Sharp XL DK257 after shutting off - front panel co...

Sharp XL DK257 after shutting off - front panel continually flashes "Hello - micro system plus........" and the blue light around the volumne button flashes - almost like a demo message in a store - annoying - only way to get rid of is to unplug????
