I removed all the screws from the case and checked the two fans inside. The two fans weren't spinning. After hooking up an external 4V DC power supply, the fans spun OK, but the motherboard wasn't receiving the 4 volts from the power supply. I then used and an external case fan, and the CD worked fine. I am looking for a Service Manual for the CD-BA3100 to try to tap into the existing power supply.
