I have a Sharp RT-W500 dual cassette recorder. Does it need and amp to work and how do you hook speakers up ? It has on the back, LINE, IN, OUT, LEFT RIGHT Nothing about speakers. I have power and the tapes turn, but no sound. Speakers are plugged into LINE in left and right.

0 You need an amp. Line in is for recording from another unit. Line out is to drive an external amp.
