Question About Samsung Home Theater System HT-TQ72

hi i have a samsung dvd home theatre, my wife went to lower the volume as she touched the knob, she said it was static electricity, dhe seen a spark form her finger and next minute the player has shut down and now wont go back on ?? can you please advise Tom
