Does anyone have any insights into disassembly of the earpieces?

4 I found that you can gently pull the pads off from around the earpieces. They are tightly contour fitted and are not attached to anything. Locate 2.5 x 3 " oval replacement pads on eBay or Google search. Cost is about $6/pr + shipping.
