wiring to make 4ohms...

speaker is a 4ohms but has duel voice coils, how do I make it a 4 ohm speaker, do I wire possitive to negitive to make it a 4ohms?

0 NO!!!! If you wire positive to negative you'll make the voicecoils fight eachother with will lock them up. you have to either bridge down to 2ohm or parallel out to 8. ive included a link to jlaudio.com that will show u proper wiring diagrams.
