Since the turntable does not an electrical plug how does it receive its' power?

4 The version that I have came with a home stereo system. The main unit of the system had an outlet specifically to power the turntable. It is a direct current (DC) 12v plug. If you do not have the main unit to power the turntable, a power source could be hacked to provide the turntable with DC 12v power.
