5 We took our machine apart also and found the laser lens had fallen out. We were able to glue it back in and it works fine. A little tricky though as you don't want to get glue on the lens.

0 I have a PD-M435 that is doing the same thing. Took it apart today and it appears that the laser lens is gone!? A quick look at parts houses seem to indicate that a new laser thing can be had for about $75.00. (PD-M430 and PD-M435 and PD-M431 all are essentially the same.)

0 I never found the lense that has fallen out. Decided that $75 is too much to pay for a new assembly especially when I'm not sure it's the only problem
