0 jneil- I had the same problem, so I talked myself into accepting radio only. That lasted for a month or so, followed by the removable face opening and closing continuously... no CD operation & no radio! I finally took into a car sound shop. They said they've seen 25+ Pioneer radios in the last year with the same problem & advised me to replace it with a different brand. I'm gonne do that this week.

0 Hi JafinSoCal, Thanks for the response. I figured mine out although I agree that is a pretty disappointing stereo. It came in an RX-7 I bought recently, but yeah, it's got to go. No exactly sure of the exact steps The upper left button is the key. that will turn the device off and display the clock. Then you press the ^ CD load, first button to the right of the CD slot. From there I just winged it (and stay away from the button that does the FM1 / FM2 / etc). N'way, yes, you're right to find a stereo that a sound shop would at least give you a thumbs up on ( and a freaking manual available if it has a bloated non-sensical lame interface). If you find a sound sys that makes sense drop me a line if you would and let me know. I never listen to the radio (commercials and crap fills too much time and brain space) but want CD/MP3 and an understandable interface. jneil_hester@yahoo.com
