programming a universal remote works for all of my...

programming a universal remote works for all of my equipmentr except the MX5600D. The remote blinks twice and then turns the DVD Surround Sound System OFF, but will not turn it back on. I have to push the AV button on the Remote that came with the MX5600D to turn it back on or off again.
