This amp is on my 2006 Searay Sundancer and when ...

This amp is on my 2006 Searay Sundancer and when I turn it on the cockpit speakers (Polk 6.5") do NOT work, but if I turn the audio up to about 25 (Loud) they pop into operation and usually work for quite some time. If they go dead then a repeat of upping the volume works again. Got any ideas? Suggestions to try to troubleshoot? Thanks
