My grandson left one radio outdoors (rain) overnig...

My grandson left one radio outdoors (rain) overnight--don't know how long. Won't function at all. I replaced the NiCAD with 4 fresh AAAs (tested them--they're fine) and radio shows no life at all. 0 Sorry -- should have said NiMH, not NiCAD.
