The CD plaer just suddenly stopped playing CDs. The light flashes blue, then the door opens...no spinning at all. Any ideas for repair?

5 Good news! . this is an easy to repair situation. Although a common issue to this unit. Looking down from the top of player. The left door hinge that holds the top, is the problem. It has two tabs that come into contact with internal control switches. This hinge was manufactured (molded) with a bad angle to it. This causes the switches to no longer operate when the very cheap stick on rubber pads that were placed on these tabs fall off due to miner heat (no longer stick and fall off). the correction to this problem is to place 3 or 4 strips of duct tape along the extreme left side of the hinge top next to the door mounting holes. Make sure to place the tape ONLY on the left side of the holes. This will cause the hinge to tilt toward the switches internally when the door screws are replaced. Bringing everything back into alignment and no rubber pads are needed any longer. This should correct your problem and give you many more days of CD listening pleasure. Jeff
