i have a JVC QLA-200 Quartz Locked Auto Return Sy...

i have a JVC QLA-200 Quartz Locked Auto Return System . . . .that i was recently gifted and have yet to be able to run out sound through speakers or headphones. i got a crackle & apparent full operation of the actual turntable . . . which is great when i want to listen at 3am BUT how TO get the SOUND OUT?
