Question About JVC Stereo System RX-6018VBK
sound issue...

I have direct tv...this product...and a dvd player and I can configure this product to play sound from my direct tv cable box but not from the dvd player....I have audio cables in abundance and an hdmi cable which allows me to see video...but not sound...please help
