Question About GPX Stereo System HMD3817DT

Cant get certain FM stations to come in unless I stand there and hold the intena. Is the re some kinkd of trick to make tit come in and I dont have to stand there to listen to the radio

0 The CD Player doesn't work anymore and I used a disc cleaner to clean the laser. Programmed it according to instructions. CD works but no sound. HELP!!!
