Question About GE Stereo Receiver 1EQL5400E, 1EQL5400E

I just bought this system, other model #'s included are 1CSD5200E and 1AMP5400E. The system is used but when I hook it up I get sound before I plug in all the cords to attache each system. Once plugged in I can not get anything. I am not sure if I have it hooked up correctly and need the manual to see how to hook it up. Can you assist me.
