5 Hi there. You need to assign the various coaxial and optical inputs to a corresponding video or audio input. To do so, press "system set up" on your remote, and select "digital in assignment", assign "coax 1", "coax 2", "opt 1", etc to a corresponding input, "cd", "DVD" etc. that way, when you select "DVD" as your input, whatever is connected to "coax1", will produce the sound for that input. Hope this helps.
